I am currently an oestopathic DME/PD. In our health system there is currently an osteopathic internship and a TY. The hospital system has 2 medicare numbers. The internship is under one number and the TY under another. Under the Single accreditation Pathway, my plan would be to seek ACGME accreditation for the osteopathic internship and become a TY program with osetopathic emphasis. Here's my question: Can you have 2 ACGME accredited TY programs in the same health system?

I wonder if anyone at ACGME has ever actually considered it, before.
If they haven't, it may be difficult to get the answer that you want, but one option to onsider might be to structure it as just 1 large TY program but with 2 different tracks -- one with an osteopathic focus and one without. You could have an overall program director and then two Asociate PDs to supervise the two tracks.

I worked in a Health System that had 3 internal medicine programs across 3 different hospitals, my guess is that the determining factor would be the quality of the programs and the outcomes.
