Dear CTYPD community, With the approval of the new ACGME Common Program Requirements expected soon, the ACGME’s Transitional Year Review Committee (TYRC) will revise the Program Requirements for GME in Transitional Year. To begin its work, the TYRC is seeking feedback from the program director community about the overall purpose and benefit of TY programs, as well as any recommendations for requirement changes that you may have. Please use this link to provide detailed, thoughtful responses to four questions (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc7d8KsxiTfF_w6BEX9e8Rmd5F03mo4wD5ofWRQ vGSsmdDf7A/viewform?usp=sf_link). The form may be completed anonymously, and you may come back to it later in case you wish to add/edit your response (be sure to save the “edit your response” link that appears after you save the form). 1. What is the purpose of a TY program? Why does your TY program exist? 2. What is a must-have or must-do for all TY programs? 3. What must all TY programs specifically try to avoid? 4. Are there any current TY-specific requirements that should be changed? Please feel free to share this link widely, with your residents, other TY program directors, DIOs, advanced specialty program directors, patients, etc. Thanks! |
